Modern slaves

It’s 1845. Huge sailboat is arriving to port and the crowd on the boat is mostly black skin colored. There are few macho armored guys with machete and guns on. The captain is proudly sitting on the highest part of the ship monitoring unloading. Unloading of live goods is taking long time and nobody cares when people exhausted are falling. Thirsty and hungry crowd of skeletons is happy to see sun light after months of traveling. Despite their pain they are happy to survive the trip looking for rescuers which will use their men power for labor. They will be fed and they will have some place to sleep. It’s more than a luxury for them. They are straight moved to big market where few hours ago farmers were selling vegetables, meat, live animals and other seasonal products. Black goods are put on stand and the auction began. Strongest have the biggest price, women are sold for less money and the weak are given away in promotion but 2 get one for free.

Slavery in this way is almost forgotten in modern society. It’s sometimes mentioned in public that there is still some slavery in China where people work for few dollars per day. But the slavery still exist but in other shapes, and by other means. Modern slave is driving car, have a house and they work every day. He is fed and has some kind of medical treatment. Basic one, but it is.

Imagine these two times is quite difficult. But you can bring correlation between those two times. When you do it you can see that there are no differences between today and the past. The only difference is that today we don’t see that we are all slaves and we are all working for some guy who bought us to work for him. Yes it’s true. When you work you can buy a car, have a home, going to store every day to buy food. But at the end you are slave of your life. They made us slaves giving us possibility for "better" life with access to loans to be able to buy us better life. Yes, we are driving big SUVs, having house with pool. But there is where we are. We can't leave somewhere else to live. It’s too much bonds there.

But we had this freedom. You could sell the house, car and went to live somewhere else. I’m writing has because this is past. Now they made us slaves as poor guys were when slavery was "real". They don’t give us metal chains. They gave us bank chains.

I’m a slave...
